The Parbery Program Dressage Fundamentals course is for you if…
The Parbery Program is not for you if…
“Some of the highest quality instruction I’ve seen!”
Good riding. The Parbery Program teaches riders to think about their training methods, develop their own system and become independent riders who don’t need constant instruction to have a productive and enjoyable ride.
Intelligent horsemanship. Riding is nothing without horsemanship. The Parbery Program looks holistically at what makes an effective dressage rider, including teaching how the horse thinks and operates, and how best to care for our dressage partners.
Supportive community. We are fiercely protective of our community and the need to nurture positivity and constructive criticism. We know you need a support network to achieve your goals, and we’re in this together. We have a private Facebook study group for students and graduates of the Dressage Fundamentals course.

Have a browse through our most commonly asked questions below.
What level of rider is this program for?
Dressage Fundamentals was designed for Equestrian Australia Preliminary to Advanced level riders, however, we have highly successful FEI riders in the program, as well as many Adult Riding Club riders. The Dressage Fundamentals course is essential knowledge and revision for riders for any level and you’ll learn what you’re ready to learn. Your desire to learn, improve and be supported on your journey is more important than your level.
How much time do I get with Brett?
You’ll love the coaching sessions with Brett! They’re held monthly and are live online group coaching sessions.
Do I get face-to-face support?
No, this program is delivered online.
What if my internet is poor quality?
That’s a tricky one! We’re aware that many people who struggle with access to trainers (and need more support) are in rural and regional areas that are more susceptible to having poor quality internet. Unfortunately we don’t have a way around bad internet connections 🙁
Who is in The Parbery Program team?
In The Parbery Program you’ll frequently hear from the core team:
What if I find the program just isn't right for me?
Feel free to dive in and try without any risk. We offer a 14-day no questions asked Money Back Guarantee.
How much time each week will I need to devote to the Program?
The course is now structured so you can work through at the recommended pace of one module per week, or you can binge the whole thing in a weekend if you like! You can go at your own pace and there’s no rush, as you have lifetime access to the program. You’ll find you’ll want to dip back in as you and your horse progress.
Do I need to have a Facebook account?
Yes. Our private study group Community is hosted on Facebook. You don’t have to go around posting selfies all day, but you do need a (free) account to join the community.
If you have any more questions, feel free to email Nat our Program Coordinator, she’ll help you out!
I do (or don't) have a coach, does that matter?
We’d LOVE for you to have access to quality coaching where you are, so if you do – that’s great. If you are looking for a coach, we can try to recommend people for you. The Parbery Program courses dovetail beautifully into an existing lesson/coaching arrangement. Some of you are simply not in an area in which you can easily access coaching. So this is the next best thing!
Am I good enough to work with Brett?
This should probably be at the top because it’s our most commonly asked question! The Dressage Fundamentals course is ideal if you’re competing (or want to compete) Preliminary – Advanced. You don’t need to worry about how good or bad you think you are. Everyone is welcome and there’s no judgement around here… we all start somewhere! If you’re not yet at Preliminary level, let us know as we’ll be putting together a program for you in the future.
